Originally from Gillette, WY, came out to San Diego when I was 5 and knew I had to live here. Joined the U.S. Navy in 1996 and completed 20 years of honorable service in January 2016. I also spent most of my career in SOCAL which has been a blessing. I have two beautiful daughters, my oldest Kayla is 7 and my youngest Sunny is 2. They love being out on the water and Kayla loves fishing, Sunny will too once old enough. The reason I started fishing was after two deployments to Afghanistan, I came back with some issues as many have. They gave me medications which altered my mental and physical state. I didn’t like the way they made me feel. One day right before I retired from the Navy, I met up with my brother Jake Glerup and he introduced me to Kayak fishing which became my therapy and had an immediate effect on my mental and physical being. I had a new addiction and have went all in on fishing. Being on the water isn’t a hobby for us, it is life.
