I have been fishing swordfish commercially in California for the past 17 years, traveling from Northern California down to the Mexican border. I started fishing when I was 18 years old. Fishing started off as just a job, but as time went on for me it became a lifestyle. I have fished most species in southern California and used a variety of fishing tactics, ranging from nets, traps, hook-and-line, harpoons, etc. What really draws me to fishing swordfish is how challenging it is of a fishery, and that it tests my skills on a daily basis. After all the hard work and long days out at sea, it is gratifying coming back to port with a good catch. I take pride in supplying the the local consumers with the highest quality product around.
